In the Wake of the Lunacy at Virginia Tech 4/20/07
Well, I am adamantly opposed to guns (and war) and have given money for both causes. However, it does not seem that anything that has so far been done has altered the culture. In fact, you must admit that guns are more prevalent now than when Reagan and Mr. Brady were shot.
A plan is needed. Clout is needed. Visible spokespeople who resonate with the public are needed. And maybe shaming the specific members of congress who take copious contributions from the NRA.
But I want to know the ways that any additional funds I give from my meager salary will be spent. Otherwise, it is merely a case of down the rabbithole ...
