When I came home from work on Monday and turned on the tv, Court TV seemed out of synch. Wrong program, wrong time, I didn't know which, so I switched channels and forgot about it. But same thing Tuesday and Wednesday and I finally got it -- lordie, lordie, Catherine Crier Live was GONE!

I searched their website and found her picture but nothing about her wonderful program. So I sent an e-mail:

Where on earth has Catherine Crier Live gone? My after-work life has been built around watching her show the minute I get home and suddenly it's nowhere to be found.She's lively, informative, clever
and wonderfully Progressive in outlook. Her commentaries about the idiocy of the
current administration are on a par with Olbermann.

I can't do without her so please bring her back! Or if it's just my cable company that's dumped her, please tell me & I'll storm the battlements!

But then I hunted a little more and found the story:

Last Catherine Crier Live to Air April 27

Court TV, which is getting a new name and programming revamping by Turner Broadcasting System, pulled the plug on Catherine Crier Live.

Crier’s last show will air April 27.

The justice network, which became fully owned by Turner last year, is in the process of evolving its programming. Crier has been a staple at Court TV for more than a half-dozen years, hosting and anchoring
several different shows during that period.

“As part of Court TV’s rebranding strategy, we have decided not to renew the Catherine Crier Live  show,” Court TV said in a statement Monday. “The 5 p.m.-6 p.m. hour is slated to feature the type of real-life stories that have given our primetime lineup such strong ratings momentum.”

Well, I couldn't resist a follow-up e-mail:

You folks are complete idiots for removing Catherine Crier Live! Maybe it is just the Conservative powers-that-be take exception to her wonderful Progressive commentary at the end of her terrifically bright and informative program. Could that be it?
