I never thought I'd say it, but I actually feel sorry for (Republican) Senator Arlen Specter. He appears so gut-wrenchingly upset during all the Gonzales hearings by the sheer stupidity and brazen balls on display that I half expect him to come across the podium and throttle this ridiculous member of his own party. I saw this coming since his confirmation hearing. First of all, he should have never been confirmed. He did not answer the questions then and he is not answering them now.
