I have heard ...

I have heard that a grim situation in a political campaign, such as the one we face today, is never as demoralizing to the candidate as it is to “us,” that is the people who have for some time contributed quantities of time, money, energy and emotion because of our deep belief in the necessity of our efforts and in the absolute merit of the candidate – in this case, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

For me it has come as something of a huge depressing shock to find out how little times have changed. For one thing, that white men are still such insecure souls that they just must attack a strong bright woman.

And then that there are so many people so lost that they are in search of a messiah. But why am I surprised -- I guess that’s how we got the current incompetent occupier of the White House!

Hillary is the ONLY person qualified to occupy the Oval Office in January 2009!

Not Barack Obama with his limited experience; not John McCain with his apparent inability to resist money/sex/power (I was in Phoenix during the Keating Five scandal!); and certainly not Mike Huckabee, who would rather teach creationism than science and replace the US Constitution with the Bible.

Positively,
Carolan
