I have heard ...
I have
heard that a grim situation in a political campaign, such as the one we face
today, is never as demoralizing to the candidate as it is to “us,” that is the
people who have for some time contributed quantities of time, money, energy and
emotion because of our deep belief in the necessity of our efforts and in the
absolute merit of the candidate – in this case, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
For me it
has come as something of a huge depressing shock to find out how little times
have changed. For one thing, that white men are still such insecure souls that
they just must attack a strong bright woman.
And then
that there are so many people so lost that they are in search of a messiah. But
why am I surprised -- I guess that’s how we got the current incompetent
occupier of the White House!
