So shouts Harold Ickes. And, as a lifelong Democratic campaigner, key member of the Clinton Administration and longtime Hillary champion, he is someone who knows. Knows that Hillary is smarter than most men, including Bill, who often says so in no uncertain terms. Knows the grim realities the next president will face and what it will take to cope with them, let alone overcome them.
And Ickes knows that planning for "after Super Tuesday" was somehow back-burnered. Now, with no time to spare, Ickes has stepped from his customary behind-the-scenes functioning to fire up the Hillary Express. He is revving up staff and pitching nothing less than REALITY to Superdelegates.
Of course Hillary's success in getting the nomination also rests on the gigantic efforts of all of us dedicated volunteers and supporters making monetary contributions, phoning voters and trekking to Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont to get out the vote next Tuesday.
We must hang in there!
