Frankly, I'm Disgusted ...

No, it's not that Hillary lost North Carolina -- after all, 33% of the voters were African-Americans cheering for their (only) hero -- or her measly 2 point Indiana victory. And I firmly believe that Hillary probably has the resilience and stamina to ultimately pull off the nomination.

But what confronted us throughout the course of the primary coverage last night was just more of the same old Hillary hate from the same old talking heads. Why, the (only) black guy on CNN even spit out, "Working class white men would NEVER vote for Hillary!" At that I was screaming at the tv, "And you think working class white men would EVER vote for a black man?!"

Even online and in print, today's "analysts" -- who are nothing if not partisans -- preen themselves in their "brilliant" diatribes about who is the "real" Hillary and "poor Chelsea" forced to campaign and is "Bill" out to ruin his wife's chances. I am convinced that if Hillary does not become our nominee, it will be because of her poisoning by the media.

I got to college on a journalism scholarship and grew up championing journalism and journalists. Edward R. Murrow was my hero. CBS News the gold standard. And when CNN came on the scene they epitomized excellent journalism with the likes of Bernard Shaw.

Today I'm sorry to say where CNN is concerned, we can give good marks ONLY to Wolf Blitzer, the one individual who has remained on point and neutral through every night of primary coverage I've seen.

And MSNBC -- pandering to the right, swooning in Obamamania, with no pretense of objectivity -- the only answer is bury the newcomer six feet under!

Positively,
Carolan
