Shifting Down ...

Even though I've always wanted to go to Washington, I long ago vowed never to set foot in DC as long as GWB was there! And I've gotten so angry through the course of this presidential primary that I realized it was making me sick ... I mean, I've put more energy, time, money and emotion into working for Hillary than into virtually anything else in my entire life ... and that goes for marriages (2), kids (5) and jobs (too many to count)!

I must say I am in awe of Hillary. It's nothing short of superhuman the way she can keep going, keep coming back for more, when the Obamamaniacal media does little but lob grenades at her. And I am disillusioned with so many of these media "stars" that I once respected. Keith Olbermann, you were brilliant when delivering rants about the stupidity and transgressions against the American people of GWB; you make me scream in agony when you use the very same tone and tenor to minimize, denigrate, attack and write off Hillary -- with utterly no facts and no reason whatsoever. What, does she remind you of your 2nd grade teacher who rapped your knuckles?!

From the beginning of my involvement in the Hillary campaign last August I have e-mailed myself nutty trying to get the media to GET it -- that Hillary is the best non-incumbent Presidential candidate we have EVER had! I have responded to so many negative newspaper articles, editorials and blog posts. And I have also endeavored to broadcast on this blog any positive glimmers I could find, wherever I could find them.

Bottom line: I believe if anyone can still pull it off, it's Hillary! And I will most definitely keep cheering her on. However, I have been reading the book, "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life" and realize  that for health's sake I must shift down. So I will be concentrating on what makes me happy -- especially exotic music and travel -- and will no longer read or watch those who keep licking their lips over their predicted Hillary crash-and-burn, of whom Maureen Dowd, Nicholas Kristof, Bob Herbert, Jonathan Alter, Howard Fineman, Carl Bernstein, Gloria Borger, William Kristol, David Brooks, Chris Matthews, Donna Brazile are merely those who quickly come to mind.

To the partisans who have never given up -- Lanny Davis, James Carville, Paul Begala, Madeleine Albright, Maya Angelou, Terry McAuliffe, Harold Ickes, Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame Wilson -- we really really appreciate you! And to theose who have remained objective, the likes of Paul Krugman, Brian Williams, Howard Kurtz, Robert Samuelson, Charlie Gibson, Gail Collins, Tom Brokaw -- you have our deepest thanks but, more important, you have integrity!

Positively,
Carolan
