For What It's Worth ...

Ok, here's my take, in light of the rumors and reported misstatements: What a mess the candidate has gotten us into (courtesy Laurel & Hardy).

I've been in the world of color for many years (originally by doing promotion for a Black singer in my hometown Portland) and for the past 5 years I've gone with a Black man in Barack's age bracket. Well, even before I declared for Hillary he had read Barack's books and said, "The guy has some good ideas but he's not ready to be president. After 8 years of Hillary (& Bill) starting to get the country back in shape, then maybe he'll be ready." And today he's angry that so many Black people voted only for "Black," with no thought whether the man can get elected or, indeed, do the job.

Through the campaign I’ve not only sent emails to members of the Obamamaniacal media (my term) and published them here, along with all the factual and pro-Hillary items I could find. I have always refrained from attacks on Obama -- staying with the point that he does not have presidential credentials or qualifications.

But early on I looked over that church website and have read the Obama gaffe and fact-checking articles. Bottom line, he's not the Second Coming his adoring fans are expecting. He's just a politician. But he is a Democrat and what do we get if we don't vote for him?

John McCain, another booze and broads Legacy, this one graduating 354th in a class of 359! With the same difficulties with the English language as Dubya, whose belief in war seems to underpin everything, who says he doesn't understand economics and with the conservative Supreme Court Judges he would appoint, we would be back to the 18th century!

We have to decide for ourselves how to play it. As for me, I'm not campaigning or contributing. But he may just be the best we can get so I'm hoping that the Obama Campaign Machine and Rumor Control Operation, mightily assisted by Hillary (now anointed the most important woman in the world!) and millions of passionate minions, will result in success in November.

Positively,
Carolan
