Sanity must prevail

We live in a perilous time and place. Admitting this fact is difficult. And examining the reasons for the peril is even tougher. But we who have brains and guts must face the facts for the sake of sanity and rational thought.
  • The number of loonies in our midst seems to multiply exponentially. The most recent female to join the ranks of doodle-brains Palin, McConnell. Fiorina and MEG, consider the  wife of  S.C.J. Clarence Thomas. This woman not long ago became an activist in the Tea Party with undisclosed donor funds -- judicial ethics problem? Oh my no! And now she has "requested" an apology from Brandeis Law Professor Anita Hill for the hurt done to her husband.
What kind of gall or stupidity does this take nearly 20 years after we watched the trial in disbelief as mister mealy-mouth denied his crude remarks and vulgar behavior as Anita Hill's BOSS in the very Federal agency responsible for equal rights in the workplace. 
  • And then there's the election. We cannot allow the doodle-brains to take over. Think progressive, think rationality, sanity, truth, honesty and the good of the country and our state. Jerry Brown of course. Barbara Boxer for sure. And Gavin Newsome, Debra Bowen, John Chang, Bill Lockyear. Plus Susan Davis in my district and Francine Busby in the 50th. 
It's time to turn San Diego blue again, same as '08!
