So many sights ...
It has taken me this long to process all the sights, sounds, tastes, experiences -- and photos taken along the way -- of my most memorable cruise-trip.
First stop was Barcelona, a fascinating city so unlike the rest of Spain. Bustling byways, catering to pedestrians/shoppers/minglers, dazzling architecture, such reverence for the quintessential Catalan architect Gaudi. Including the most bizarre religious structure in all of Catholicdom.

On the left, Sagrada Familia Basilica -- actually only a small part of it, as the fruit-topped pillars (a Gaudi creation) are nearly innumerable. And it is believed that construction may never end.
Below, a depiction of the birth of Jesus over one of the many entrances. This tableau is replete with the Wise Men and many other folks -- all playing musical instruments (!)

And here is what appears to be a grown-up Jesus flying under a lighted umbrella high above the congregation. Go figure ...
Next stop Rome.
Positively,
Carolan
