Mitt Romney Indeed ...
Wikipedia tells us that Willard Mitt Romney (born March 12, 1947) is an American businessman and Republican political figure who was the 70th Governor of Massachusetts (2003 to 2007).
The same source explains that The Massachusetts health care insurance reform law, enacted in 2006, mandates that nearly every resident of Massachusetts
obtain a state-government-regulated minimum level of healthcare
insurance coverage and provides free health care insurance for residents
earning less than 150% of the federal poverty level (FPL)who are not eligible for Mass Health (Medicaid) ... The reform legislation also included tax penalties for failing to obtain an insurance plan.
And the present Governor of Massachusetts imparts the most important message: “It’s difficult to see how an acknowledged success in Massachusetts can become a presumptive failure nationally,’’ Deval Patrick said. “But you know, this is more about politics than policy.’’
And so to Mitt Romney, I emailed the following:
You are a deceitful, duplicitous absolute jerk! After being respected in your home state, partly for the health reform you ushered in, you now have the unmitigated gall to call out our president for bringing all Americans in from the agonies of no insurance to being able to stay healthy and live productive lives.
To say you should be ashamed of yourself is way too mild a reprimand. It is beyond me why ANY sane person would consider having you in ANY federal office, let alone that of the president. It is repugnant!!!!
Disgusted,
Carolan
