Obama, Krugman & Us !

The good news in all this is that by going bigger and bolder than expected, Mr. Obama may finally have set the stage for a political debate about job creation.

For, in the end, nothing will be done until the American people demand action.

Obama's "Jobs" speech was excellent -- calling the obstructionists' bluff a great strategy. But as Paul Krugman rightly says in his NY Times Op Ed, it is US -- the rational, fact-based enlightened citizens of the US who must DEMAND that this Congress pass this bill. And "RIGHT AWAY" as Barack repeated over and over.

Paul Krugman tell us that Charles Evans, the president of the Federal Reserve of Chicago, has said, "... what some of us have been hoping to hear from Fed officials for years now." Namely, that the Fed must be as engaged in fighting the horrendous unemployment situation as in keeping inflation at bay.

And, yes, the President has finally spelled it out. The best of our country exists because of many individuals coming together and getting things done. We people who get it, need to help clue the uninformed that the Republican and Tea Party "policies" do NOTHING to make the country better, do NOTHING to encourage people to BE better; do NOTHING but perpetuate the stupidity of prior administrations.

We must insist on a government BY, FOR and OF us -- the people of the USA.
Congress, do your job or be gone!

Positively,
Carolan
